Great device to save all of your backup photos from all of your devices. You never know if an unsuspected computer crash is around the corner. Be sure to have them saved so they are not lost forever! Very portable and easy rlto store when not in use and software is preloaded on the hard drive.

Fast and simple with plenty of storage

My (Windows 8.1) laptop recognized the drive with no problems. My desktop computer has USB 3.0 so the transfer speeds are blazingly fast on that. My laptop is USB 2, so speeds are slower, but still acceptable. No issues so far, and I've had good luck so far with the majority of WD drives I've owned in the past.
