    I've now gone through 2 of these pieces of garbage. I am astounded at how many great reviews it has gotten. Has manufacturing changed? First one failed so bad it was freezing any machine you connected it to. I missed the return window on it and have sent it back to WD to be fixed. I bought a second one so my son could use it on his laptop for gaming. Within 2 days it starting giving save errors, was not being recognized by explorer, and making HD death sounds. I've never had such issues with external drives before. Getting a Passport instead. My older son has no issues with his Passport drive. Hopefully manufacturing hasn't changed for those.

    This product was easy to use, I plugged into my computer, opened the icon and moved my larger files over so I can free up space on my computer. I recommend this product for anyone who requires additional space on their CPU. The exterior is firm and light weight.

    I bought this external hard drive for my wife who uses it almost exclusively for photography. It is lightning fast and doesn’t take up much space on the desk. It does everything that you would need an external hard drive to do and comes highly recommended by both me and my wife!

    It wasn't what I was expecting so a little confusing to setup with the included software. While it seems to work as a backup drive I haven't tried to access the backup I did.
