So far no issues. Data transfer is fast. I am using daily for the 3 weeks.

I use this to back up my laptop. It is replacing a 9 year old Seagate USB 2.0 external drive. The difference in speed is incredible. Maybe 10 times faster. I am using a custom backup program I wrote to mimic the software that came with my Seagate so I can't comment on the WD software. I am very happy with my purchase.

First external hard drive that was actually plug and play, just plug it into your computer and it is ready to work.

good to back up laptop just in case of emergency. years ago we almost lost all our data so now i back up every couple weeks just in case. This one was recommended by Geek squad

Simply put, WD is the brand to go to for External Hard Drives. And the bulk price applies here same as it would groceries. Cheaper to get this 2TB version that you can use your everything than getting a cheaper one now and needing anything additional later.

Does what is intended. No power supply cable needed. Makes a slight humming noise when transferring data, but what typical hard drive doesn't.

This external hdd comes in handy. Just hooked it up to my Windows 10 pc, and it worked right out of the box. Some files, I want to keep copies of away from my pc, in a different place. USB 3.0 is much faster than 2.0, just remember you need a USB 3.0 socket on your laptop or pc to take advantage of the speed.

Bought this external drive to back up almost 1 TB of memory. I really like the 3.0 transfer speed. So far no issues. It really is easy and has a cool sleek design. If I had to complain about something it would be the fact that it didn't come with a travel case, but that wasn't enough to knock it down a star for me.

I have been struggling with hard drive space on my PS4 for quite some time so I have been keeping an eye out for a good deal on an external drive since support was added. This one works great, just plug it in, format it, and you're set. Like most HDs these days it comes with the USB 3.0 cable needed for the PS4 too.

Needed a backup drive for photos and this seems to be a good hard drive as of now

I like the coverage on my electronic devices. But I felt I was promised restoration of files, etc that had to be removed. The Geek Guys underdelivered on that promise.
