Not using for my laptop backup but will buy another for that purpose. Purchased for my Channel Master over the air TV DVR (Google Android streaming TV device). This particular WD model was one model recommended for storage. I'm a cable TV cutter.

Plugged it into a USB-3.0 port on a computer that was running. It came up immediatly with no problems. I did not like the drive letter that the system assigned to it so I used Diskmgmt (Windows 7 Pro) to change it. Again very easy. It has been running since purcase with no issues.

I bought this during last year's Black Friday and had it for a long while and it works. I haven't experienced any serious issues with the product like some customers have. I would transfer and save my files on it and just unplug it when I'm not using it. When I plug in the portable hard drive back into my laptop, my files are still in there. I like how it's small and doesn't take up much space. It's kinda light and it's not very heavy.

Does exactly what it is said to do. Good for those who need an external backup. Best to find when on sale. Pretty small and compact for office or home computer.

It took forever to install the driver. Other than that, no complaints. It's pretty hard to mess up a hard drive and WD is a reputable brand.

These WD external hard drives are great, good value, performs as expected with no problems. Easy to hook up, easy to use, a great choice for Xbox expansion as well as it has USB 3.0, which is what is required for the Xbox One.

Works great, only thing is that there is a popup about the hard drive (like how much space is left) every time I log into my computer, which can be annoying. Other than that it works just fine.

Better than the Sony brand that died on me in a couple of months.

WD Easystore drive is exactly that easy! I tried other brands and ran into errors like corruption issues, but with WD, I can backup my files without all problems. I am happy about that!
