Reliable for photographers needing extra space

I replaced it with this SSD, I downloaded Windows 10 on a usb drive and made a clean install. It reregistered itself along with my Office Suite. Easy for this novice and now my computer is so fast and snappy. Totally happy.

super hard drive

I filled it up once and then I got it empty and then I filled it up again without any issues. It has traveled a lot even dropped but without any problems.

Reformatting for Mac (despite packaging ad) failed

This WD drive failed as soon as I attempted to reconfigure it for Mac OS X High Sierra with the OS's Disk Utility. I have since purchased a different Mac-formatted WD device, which accepted a Carbon Copy Cloner backup and allowed me to boot my computer from the backup drive. Might work for a Windows user, cannot recommend for a Mac user.

Perfect for file back up

It has done exactly what we needed it to do by backing up my old files while having gobs of space for new files. No problems using it at all.
