The external hard drive works well and very compact for easy storage in my backpack. It gives you the option to operate as a time machine for my iMac or just an external hard drive storage. I would recommend this product. Ernie

I purchased this for my 16 year old playstation pro as the games take up a lot of gigabytes and it runs out of room. It was very easy to hook up and install new games on. Now he has 3TB altogether for his gaming.

A little finicky with some Linux-native backup tools, but otherwise OK. Doesn't seem to agree with backintime or kup, for some reason. After formatting, make sure permissions are set properly

My main use for this hard drive is to save footage from a show I record and that takes up a lot of space. I was able to fit 4 seasons on 1 TB. That was a lot of material and I still have more space.

On sale price and fast trip in/out of store made for a quick & easy purchase.

I bought this to extend the memory of my Xbox One S. It was very simple to format, I just connected it and the Xbox asked if I wanted to use this for media backup or for Xbox. I chose Xbox and it appears to be working just fine. It did take some time to save a game to it however I think my Xbox might be partly to blame for the slow speed. It's time to upgrade.

The drive works well for what I'm using it for, an expansion of the Xbox One storage. The drive isn't the fastest but it is USB powered & transportable should I want to take the drive with me somewhere.

I'm using this as my "time machine" back up drive for my MacBook Pro. I have several of these devices. They have never failed me. Work great and dependable. Mine was on sale...didn't even know that when I went to buy it...so that was a nice bonus.

Used as a back up for PC contents during reboot of system. Went well. No problem with reload.

I like how compact this hard drive is. Its portable and fits right in my bag.

This item is small and compact which is good for a user who is always on the go.

It works as intended and its decently priced. I would spring for the larger storage sizes as they are usually worth the few extra dollars

I needed to expand my system storage and already had a WD USB external drive, so this was a no brainer. I was very pleased with the plug and play interface and transfer speed. Storage size for the price is very good.

The USB 3 tech means transfers are fast - assuming you have the matching port on your computer. It even slipped and hit the floor (short fall - cat to blame) and still is working just fine. Although I wouldn't recommend you test that yourself.

Works well to store data and seems durable and sturdy. Lots of space. Overall I expect to upgrade to solid state so as to avoid mechanical problems down the road, but for now, this is a good value.

Easy connection through USB port. Laptop recognizes it with no issues.

Had no issues with the drive on my computer or laptop when using USB 3.0. Occasionally when using USB 2.0, the drive would not be picked up by Windows, presumably because there's not enough power (there's no supplied Y-Cable to connect to multiple USB ports, only one that connects to a single USB port.) Works fine thou with a Netgear R7800 X4S router (for a network file share) thou which was my intended purpose.

Nice external mobile hard drive... easy to use and perfect size

This drive is extremely easy to install and use. Just plug it in and its good to go. Storage space is as advertised. The outer case is also very durable against shock and weather.
