Easy too set-up and 2TB is a huge amount of storage. USB 3.0 connection was (I thought) slower than expected, but I was downloaded a lot of pictures (up to 12GB) in one folder. Great as a backup to another ext hard drive. Would recommend to anyone.

I purchased this because I wasn’t backing up my Mac. So when it crashed, I had to wipe the hard drive clean for it to work again. Bought this to use as a back up before I wiped the Mac clean. Great price for the amount of memory available.

We have lost data for the last time. This drive is very easy to setup. You can setup parameters of when you would like it to backup. Just plug in, setup, and no more lost data if your regular hard drive goes bad.

I have also bought WD portable hard drives. They are easy to use, lasts a long time and this time I bought the 2TB for Union. It is really easy to use with the drag and drop feature to save anything you want to back up.

It works fine the download speed is a ok, I only bought this to save some old pictures.

Good item. Did not want to easily partition with my Mac but finally able to get it to work. Scored one on sale so I am happy

i bout this to replace my current hard drive that is plugged into my Dish dvr box as there seems to be an issue with it. so far it has saved the movies to it without any issues it also had a nice price tag too!

Easy plug and play external drive that works with USB 3.0 for decently fast speeds. Been using it for months to store Steam games I'm not currently playing in order to free up space on my desktop.

This hard drive exceeds my expectations. I have backed up all of my pictures and videos, as wee ll as my desktop computers's software and data and documents. It responds superbly when hooked upto my laptop. Plenty more space for more.

its a 2TB external HDD which I got for $49.99. its WD everything is good.

Bought this a month ago and have not had any issues. It took about 5 min to format and very self explanatory. Bought this item for my son to have extra space for his PS4 and he is happy. I would recommend.

I purchased this external disk as a Time Machine disk for my grandson. He is currently attending his first semester at University at Buffalo. This drive worked well with no problems, Easy to format, add as a time machine drive ,etc.

best buy wants an immediate review and i suppose getting data onto the drive has been what one would expect. the real test is in how the drive performs over time - especially as there become more overwrites and limited free space. all of my wd drives have been internal drives and they have all held up pretty well. this is my first 2TB external and it is not quite a speedy as my external seagates but they are 1TB drives so i imagine that to be the major factor. but that is by no means a complaint, just a comparison that may be more apples to oranges than winesaps to granny smiths. at any rate, though i did so because of a requirement to end this post, i honestly could no more recommend than dissuade a purchase at this point. it's storing music files (hd wav & flac) and i have no complaints about playback performance even when playlists are culled from various albums that i assume to be scattered all over the drive. a better test might be to run films or video games but that is not why i bought the unit. if i lose a treasured album, then i'll be back with one heck of a review! otherwise, it's fine for my needs.

I wanted something easy to use to transfer pictures from my computer and this was the right choice. I'm "technology challenged" and was worried that I wouldn't be able to get the job done but it was very easy. I highly recommend this hard drive.

Just what I needed. I found the product quickly at a good price. The ordering and pick up was smooth and nicely handled during this Corona virus lock down. Very happy with the service and the product.

I originally bought this for my wife, but ending up keeping it for myself. The 5 TB Hard Drive went on sale the next week and I bought her that one instead. It works great and has a lot of storage.
