But I did get it all set up and ready, and that was easy. The software all downloaded fine and was easy to use. I've got several other WD drives that have lasted 5 years or more.

I do not move this device so that may be why I do not have issues as some say they do. I don't think these were built to be moved around all the time. So I keep mine in one spot.
