The software provided to help you set it up for Mac wasn't terribly help[ful and I had to use Disk Utility to format it for use on both Windows and Mac, but otherwise this is a solid external for the money.

All 21 tapes, which amounted to about 90 GB, fit just fine. I guess I will back up my 50,000+ photos here too. I have tons of scanned photos of ancestors and family photos.
