I am a technologically savvy person and could not get this to operate. You can't just drag and drop files to transfer-- this hard drive requires a separate software and was not compatible with my MacBook Pro. When it apparently does work, many reviews mention file corruption. This was a waste of $80. Painful.

Also use for back up (keep one at home & one at office & periodically copy files and switch locations. Cable a little flimsy for heavy plug / unplug I'm always afraid one of the plugs will fail.
