will eventually stop working

It makes it so hard not only to work on files and media that are on the hard drive, but even transferring all of the stuff I have on it right now is a hassle due to the connection issues.

Piece of Junk
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because I read that it allowed me to set a password to protect my drive. It makes you install a program called WD Security which comes preinstalled on the hard drive. Once you install it... The Security app doesn't recognize the device and it gives you an "Attach a supported WD drive" error message. Now the actual drive works fine... it saves and reads and it's quiet but the software is garbage. I even tried downloading the newest version off the website and still doesn't work. Checked my Services.Msc as well as restarting my computer and as well as uninstalling and reinstalling. Tried everything. I read online that it doesn't work well with Windows 10 even though it says its compatible...Many people have this issue.. Will be returning tomorrow morning and trying a new brand.
