Unfortunately I waited to long to open the box and couldn't return it or request a refund. It created problems on my computer and constantly wouldn't access my iCloud account from my computer. I do not recommend it and wont be using it because I can't get it to operate properly. I am thoroughly dissatisfied and wont be purchasing anymore WD products. Period.

I do not know if this is an issue with particular brand. I even took it to Geek Squad and they couldn't get it to load either.

This device was plug and play and for the purpose I needed it did work. Dinged it two stars because it failed the first few times I tried to do the back up, however, it did eventually work when I tried a different process from the native menu. Never could figure out why the first option failed and the interface didn't help figure that out either.
