Small and compact, this backup drive sits conveniently on top of my computer, not in the way of anything. You need to install the WD utility software to get things up and running, but that went smoothly. Gets its power from the USB connection, but I will comment that as I have an older computer that does not have USB 3.0 capability, I found the data transfer rate to be somewhat slow but it did back up according to the schedule I set up.

This is great. I didn't need to do any set up to use it, it is small and compact, easy to take with me.

It's easy to use. I wanted to save my files externally in case something happened to my files on my computer. I feel it gives me security that I won't lose the files I bought.

I chose this as a dedicated Time Machine backup drive for my Mac Studio because I've used WD products before for this purpose. Now that everything's installed it's working as expected. However, the setup left something to be desired. It was advertised as plug-n-play but it was hardly that. Drives need to be formatted to work with Apple but I had to figure it out on my own. Support could have been better and clearer.

This is a compact, high capacity, transportable storage unit, with software for back-ups. It's unique to Best Buy, so I hope it will prove to be long lived and durable. It's easy to use, and functional.
