The stored files / partition got corrupted within a few months and I lost my valuable documents. Avoid by all means.

Much prefer Seagate products based solely on Customer Support. They both do the same thing - I always base my decision to buy something factoring in the type of support I will, or will not be getting.

I highly recommend against buying an easystore hard drive for backing up a computer. It may work properly for one or two backups but then it will quit doing backups even though drive connects to the computer. Trying to troubleshoot why is a waste of time.

I have been trying to get this to work with my 10 year old computer with windows 7, so I can backup all my stuff and transfer it to the new windows 10 computer. All I get is installation failed. Boxing it back up and to best buy for a refund.

Every single time I want to use my hard drive I have to restart my computer so it will recognize it. I also cannot search on it and have to scroll through everything. Wish I could return it.

I had to return this. It says it works on Mac computers but even apple care people could not get it installed. I returned and bought another brand.

The backup is so terrible. I hate the set up page. I do not like the organization of it, besides the program sees another western digital backup and gets so excited that that one appears in the bu setup. It is so not reliable. I have a good manual plan to use.

Works Great! One of the best USB 3.0 External Hard drives out there. The fact that is made by WD gives me peace of mind. Reliable!. Great for storing Videos and photos.

really good, size is true, transfer speed is fast, and works well, not much to say its just a good external storage.

Bought this and first things it does is try to update, couldn't get it to update. Exchanged it and got another one. Needed to update, was able to update, but still not do anything more. Not simple plug and use so returned it.

Small, easy to use. Loved it so much I bought one for my mother. Even she loved it!

Seams to be a good quality item and works as it should no problems with it so far. It is as advertised I use mine to store movies and videos on working perfect as of now.

Works great. I just plugged it in, and it was ready to go. Definitely recommend. It's nice and small so it doesn't take up much space.

This is best storage device. But be careful, it is so slick and cute that you do lose it because it's easy to blend in with all the other electronic devices you have. Anyone know how to find it?

Well... I bought this hard drive back in May, as it was on sale and had a good price. And I got what I paid for. It is now August, 3 months later, and the drive crashed. Lesson of the day: fork over the extra $ and go for a seagate.

my computer's OS is listed as compatible but it didn't recognize AT ALL. No ease of use. Wouldn't be bothered to jump through the hoops to get it to function. Not a plug and go device for Windows 7.

I was trying to have one quality storage device. But this Does not function in McOS Catalina. Raised a ticket today with WD website. If I don't hear any update in 3/4 days will return to the store.

I waited a while to do this review to be sure, but the drive is working as promised. It was simple to set up, the software comprehensible, and it's unobtrusive and so far reliable.

Bought this HD to store my pictures, but within 3 weeks the HD broke. No computer or cable was able to recognize the media. It lights up and spins but nothing happens.

I’ve purchased three of these in the past few years. And all three have failed after a year or so. I absolutely don’t recommend this.
