I returned this as I probably got a defective one. It would copy my files in my home then some of those files would disappear when I brought the hard drive to my work and plugged it in my office pc

Hard rice was “unplugged” from computer, but overheated and melted port where usb 3 plugs in, now won’t turn on and can’t pull cord out. Lost nearly 1TB raw images and final galleries.

I was told this would work for a ps4. And it did not. I purchased it last November on black Friday and it was a Christmas gift, and by then it was too late to return. Waste of money!!

Plug and play, great device to backup my files and clear up PC space.

Amazing how small storage has become. 2TB in a handy portable package.

Bought this for my daughter at Christmas for her college PC. Lasted only 5 months before the hard drive failed. The cost of the device pales to all the data that she lost.

Feature to back information up never installed. Tried reinstalling but waa not recognized by my Mac. Tried everything on their website and nothing worked

When plugged in to 2 different PC’s it was not able to function with out loading the software. Then it wanted to load 4 other features . I purchased it as a simple backup device

Just what I was looking for to store hundreds of movies and thousands of songs. Easy to use and very good speed uploading items. Great buy at a great price.

I bought this to back up my 9 year old laptop. Tried to use it with Windows Vista and it didn’t work. Called customer service and they walked me through it but still didn’t work.

I love the size of the device and its storage capabilities.

I have hooked this up at least four times and it always says to try again later. I would say it is totally worthless as of now.

Before I even opened it I first called Tech Support. Had an awful experience right off the bat. Major deal breaker for me! Going back to the "other" rival brand. Returned it PDQ!

Works great, lots of storage capacity and so easy to use. You can just drag and drop photos or copy your whole picture file to it.

Compact. Easy to connect. Works well for my son who uses it to store gaming files.

It is a great hard drive. It is compact, quiet, and dependable.

The day I got it I plugged it into all my computers and installed the onboard software. I started with a desktop(4 hard drives) No problem. Formatted all, installed Linux. Then HP laptop #1, 250gb. Did a factory reset. Again no problem. Then to HP laptop #2. 500gb. Partitioned the drive, did another factory reset, and installed Android O.S. for dual boot. I then wanted to transfer some XBOX games to it. The day I went to do it, I plugged it in and the drive started clicking. I got sick to my stomach. I unplugged it, let it sit a while , plugged it in my desktop and this time heard a howling sound and the clicking. I unplugged it and walked around the house getting more sick to my stomach. I wanted to wrap my hands around someone's neck but the only one there was me. I sat there just thinking of all the movies, videos,pictures, documents, and the personal information I may have lost. All together I only put about 800gb on it So I the next day I plugged it in and it was quiet. I quickly partioned it, cloned the operating system of the the 500 GB and because I had a few 160gb drives playing around so, I format those, used one in the HP, inplace of the 500. Took 2 160s and the 500 and transferred everything from this new one back into those. So I backed up my backup. Over the past month I have had no problems. No howling or clicking, though one time I plugged it in and an error came on the screen telling me the drive was corrupt . You guessed it, I got sick. On screen pop up said unplug it and try again. Boy was I worried again. But alls fine in tinseltown My heart and my stomach has taken a beaten over this hard drive. Makes me wonder if I should have bought a bunch of flash drives instead. Maybe I should have saved my Polaroid camera and VCR. The questions they ask after these reviews omg! 1. Would you recommend this to a friend? Sure, if I want to terrorize him. 2. Easy to use, excellent value, fast transfer. Would buy again.
