I bought it because a flash drive i had full of solidworks models broke. For the 6 times i used it in the month i have owned it, it worked perfectly. Although 1TB is probably 100 times my need, it is nice to know there is plenty of capacity.

I owned this external hard drive for 1 year. It was not even close to full and I saved alot of information, videos and pictures on it. I used it to save from videos recently and then the next day it would not show up on my laptop. It made a strange noise twice and you not work. I tried everything as instructed by WD website The WD website could not even give me simple drivers to update the drive. I would not buy another one because once I installed the data dashboard all the stuff I had was gone.

It's been like a solid 6 years since I've needed to find somewhere to store around 10k photos now... Been paying $X for Cloud space and this is an AMAZING solution. Cannot believe the speed. I dragged my entire--current--photo library over to the drive (around 5k photos), only for it to tell me "estimated 4 minutes remaining." 30 gigs in 4 minutes? I was so impressed. Did a great job too. Backed up my entire computer (110gigs) in like 20 minutes.

Well worth the price in my opinion. So far no issues with my ps5. Just click the format prompt after plugging in and you’re good to go.

I had much trouble with a similar Seagate drive, and bought this to replace the Seagate. It has been working well.
