Good product. Had some difficulty setting it up with my router for this to become a network drive, but found it was not an issue with the drive itself but rather router settings.

It works perfectly except it has the older USB connection cord and I had to buy an adapter to plug into my new Apple laptop that has a new size USB connection system. I wish I had known that prior to purchase.

I needed an external hard drive for my PS4, was only looking for a 1TB but found this 2TB on sale and picked it up. Works great, was able to transfer games with no issues. Highly recommended!

Check Western digital website for "hard disk not recognized". Over a thousand people, many with brand new drives. I purchased 2ea 2TB usb external. PC only recognized sometimes & lost some files. TV & Blu-ray wouldn't recognize. Seagate out of the box NTFS recognized. I also did quick re format on WD to exfat to no avail. Did hard exfat re format (14hrs! USB2) Also to no avail. Looked on WD site, no help & over a thousand people same & similar problem. I returned one un opened & the open box. Purchased $5 more per drive (on sale) 2ea Seagate. Plug & play by tv, Blu-ray & pc NTFS pre formatted out of the box. In hind site, I also had 2ea 1TB WD internal drives that both died after about 2yrs of average use (2009 to 2011) of 1 to 3hrs, 3to 5 times a week. Spend a couple bucks more get a good drive.

Best portable charger. Battery life is great when not having access to charging phone.

If you have a Mac or MacBook and want a simple external storage device then this NOT the product for you.
Basically what I want from a hard drive is to plug it in and start dragging files into it. Should be a simple process that takes seconds.
Despite being literally called "EASYSTORE" this is a painstaking process.
It is more designed to use its backup software (which requires internet for some reason?) to backup your computer or hard drive. Rather than a simple storage device.
Even AFTER installing the driver software on the drive, I still cannot drag and drop files onto the drive. Googled it and there are multiple hoops you have to go through just to be able to use this thing as an external hard drive. The solutions for this problem all come from third party sources btw. Not from WD. Not from Best Buy. Not in the instructions. THAT'S RIDICULOUS. Waste of time and money, just buy another hard drive that works straight out of the box.
