I purchased two of these after reading that they contained WD Red drives. I immediately opened them up once I got home (which was fairly simple) and harvested those wonderful drives. Catch them on sale and it's an incredible deal for such a great drive. Now those drives inhabit my NAS and keep our files backed up.

We purchased this drive to use as a NAS drive when connected to a Synology rt2600AC router to replace our aging NAS drive. The setup was very easy and it was surprising how fast the data transferred over. Response time for serving out music and photos has been crisp and connectivity has been consistent.

The unit is designed for backup, but I formatted it and use it as a external drive. No problems. Good price.

I use to buy a lot of small memory but now I got large memory now I just use one for everything I need to save.

Easy to use. Just took out of the box and unstalled onto my gaming system. No need to do anything else.

So, I do think it's a great product to have if you want to make sure that the information and data you have on your system's hard drive is safe. It comes with software that will help you easily configure it quickly and effortlessly. However, if you are planning on reading and writing data to the drive constantly, it's a little slow and laggy. I would personally go for another drive.

For the money, this external hard drive seemed the best way to go. I had considered an internal drive too. My only concern is the "automatic Backup." It seems to work OK, but my computer seems slower since I installed this drive. I just defragged and hope this works.

Plenty of space. More than the average user probably needs. Unless your taking a lot of photos or videos.

I only use this to backup my regular computer photos so it doesn't get much use but has worked great for a couple years now. I only connect it once every few months and then store in a fireproof safe.

Purchased during the Black Friday in July sale and am very pleased with the value. Simple bookshelf design, adequate storage for my needs. Only gripe is wish it didn't need the additional external power cable to run, but I knew that going in with the price point. Overall, worth it for why it was needed.

the hard drive is quite while it's running. the price is not too high. i compare to amazon, almost the same.

I have used two and three terabyte Western Digital hard drives in the past with excellent results. I have three of them, purchased a while back and they are still working to my satisfaction. I have yet to actually start using this one yet... but for the price, the discount I received form Best Buy, and the experience I have had both with Best Buy and also with Western Digital products, I am expecting to be just as satisfied with this purchase.

Set up was easy, mapping drive was great! Copying was awesome! It's good.

Great external drives never had any issues with them. I own about 4 of these and never had problems.

Too early to tell, but this back up drive is working fine. Backs up on schedule. Hope it will last.

There are no instructions, only a simple photo on how to plug and play.

IF THERE HAS BEEN A LITTLE TIME BETWEEN SAVES OR YOUR CHANGING FOLDERS . OTHERWISE WORKS JUST FINE .

I got this for my xbox one and have been quite pleased with it. It formatted easily and works perfectly.

I purchased this at a good deal and been using to store all my data from my camera.
