Picked up two of these during a sale. Contained within are WD Red WD40EFRX drives which have a standard SATA connection. 147.7 MB/s as tested in the middle of both drives. 45C maximum under load when given enough space. No default encryption enabled. Pretty happy with the purchases!

Good for backing up pictures and other files .i haven’t gotten any issues with it so far.

This was a deal of the day item and it sure was. Twice the amount of storage for half the price.

Great for storing photos, videos and music to free up space on your computer

The good thing about this product is it's storage space. The bad part is there are flash drives that are self powered with the same or more storage. That are more reliable. If dropped this drive can lose your data. It's bulky and requires you to plug it into a outlet.

Gets minus for the need to have external power, not powered through the usb connection. Though that might not be a minus, because another usb powered external drive I have gets disconnected all the time because it draws too much power and my MBP won’t stand for it. The external power cancels that drawback, but more wires is less than optimal.

Works perfectly easy to install and comes with cool software to manage your hard disks.

Bought this for the Xbox. Yes, a little slow (not a 7200+ RPM drive), but 4TB <$90! Great deal.

This unit is slightly larger than the MyBook units I have, but still looks to provide good physical protection for the drive. Great large file IO speeds. Smaller wall-wart power supply than older units have had. My WD drives have all lasted longer than other brands I have used.

Very fast transfer. Allows me to separate all my different work for different companies and does NOT get hot. Should last years since I only turn-on when I need to use it.

It's really a good price for such a 4TB hard drive. It perfectly works with my PS4 system.

I am currently using my 4 gig box for storing TV data from over the air and it works great.

WD has gotten better. Years ago I used to avoid WD drives in general but since BB stopped carrying most other brands except WD in the local stores I've begun using them again and they seem to be pretty good now.

Large enough for backup harddrive. But have to fiddle with it for attaching to a mac.

I really like this drive. I chose the 3.5" drive and Western Digital combo for it's reliability. So far the USB 3.0 does indeed read/write at about 5GB/s. I am nowhere near full capacity, but I do wish I got the 8TB model as the price difference isn't much.

I bought this to add extra space for my xbox one s. Works great and is a fast drive.

Needed additional Hard Drive Space for my Xbox One, this does an excellent job. Plug and Pray - no issue with compatibility, etc. I store/install games directly from this drive and no lag, no issues since I've plugged it in. Excellent Product.
