Great if you want to add extra storage to your ps4 system or any other gaming device

This device works as advertised for so many things. I used it for a while as network storage attached to my Asus Router, and it worked like a charm. Then I used it to perform periodic backups from my main PC, and it was able to handle the constant I/O without issues.

This hard drive is an excellent alternative storage in my situation. The design of the device is pretty well made. A lot of air circulation, which is much needed. The con on this is the read and write speed; much slower than the portal drive.

I read reviews about WD changing the drives in these things. It actually came with a CMR red Nas drive. Works well for my video editing needs. Also comes with a warranty that's better than the internal HD

This unit is better than previous models because it is not connected to the cloud. It is connected directly to your computer. You can access it directly from windows explorer and copy or back up to it directly and smoothly. It is also very quite.

Easy to setup. I backup once a month seems to be good for this function.

I tipped my desktop HDD and had to replace it, while it's the same model I switched out the original purchase lasted me almost two years until I accidentally dropped it, but until then I had no issues. Plan on using this one for as long as I can.

Pretty fast and work as it should. No problem. USB 3 connection and no USB C cable.

I got the drive as it was on sale for $89 which is great for a 4TB external drive. Be aware that only 3.7TB are actually usable. The enclosure can be removed and the drive installed into your case if preferred but the USB 3 external transfer speeds are very fast.
