I haven't had any problems with this external hard drive. It was not at all confusing to hook up to the computer, and I have no prior experience with an external hard drive.

I had 1TB of storage for my old Mac system and was looking for another drive to move my files to fit my new PC setup. This was on a big sale and I got 4x what I needed at under $100.

WD has high quality drives and their warranty program is the best that I have seen for drives. They are the only brand if hard drives that I buy.

Works great. I use it as external storage for an Xbox. Fast transfer speed. Prices have dropped since I bought this to be used with my Xbox so now it’s an even better buy.

So glad to have an external HD with so much memory! It was easy to install with fast transfers. Would recommend to anyone that wants to work fast with transfer and saving.

My other kid has one for her art so when my son wanted one of these things to hook up to his games they put their heads together and we came out to get this. He's very happy with it!

I had an xbox and ps4 and was running out of storage. I got this on sale and it's worked great for me. There are better options if you need something you can travel with

This product was easy to install for my iMac mini. And very user friendly. We use this for all my child’s videos and photos for safe keeping.

The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is I have a Mac and had to figure out how to format it accordingly. Otherwise it would have been much easier. Once I got it formatted it went well. It backs up every hour and slows my computer so I have to set it to back up manually.

Unit works as described and seamlessly integrated into our LAN. Like any external, they have a limited life span. This was purchased to replace a similar unit that failed after 5 years.

This is my third WD external hard drive. They work great with Macs (after reformatting) and allow me to keep larger files and folders without taking up space on my computer.

So far so good. Fast and handy. Price was right when I made this purchase. I wish I had gone for a cloud storage to eliminate all the wires, but it does what it is supposed to.

I have 6 of these drives, and two of WD's earlier drives. I am quite happy with them. WD drives has served me very well for years now. Would gladly recommend them to anyone.

I build a home built NAS using a Raspberry Pi and this HDD. It has been one of the fastest home NAS units I have ever used. I would absolutely recommend.

got this for auto backup. wanted something to use for doing a backup that I needed at least once a week. does it without me having to worry whether I did it or not.

Works great backing up my computer HD's. I have an older system that I don't want to replace just yet. But if it does die before I replace it, I won't lose everything.

This external drive is very simple and easy to use, with USB plug and play capability that works with either 2.0 or 3.0 speed ports. The drive runs cool and is quiet.

This is an excellent HHD. Keeping in mind that it has to be powered to operate, I leave it standing up by my TV to store movies and music. It does exactly what I want.

I only use this to back up my files from my computer and it's doing its job. The only downside is that you have to connect it to a USB outlet and a power outlet to get it to work. Other than that its not portable but does its job.

Works awsome crazy amount of space, no problems so far. This brand has bin pretty good i have a few older drives of the same brand and they are still going strong
