At first only 2TB seems available. To open the other partition, i.e. the rest of the drive, you need software like Easeus Partition Master free version or higher

I gave Geek Squad my computer, purchased from Best Buy four years ago, to fix the boot sector of my hard drive. They wanted to do a full backup, so I gave them the WD 500GB disk drive I've been using for backup. They said they couldn't use it, even though it had more than enough capacity. So I purchased the new 5TB drive. After taking my money, they reported that my computer disk had crashed. I was stuck for the WD 5TB drive, which did me zero good as far as recovering my disk, and which I did not need. Nothing bad about WD or my disk. BUT I WILL NOT DEAL WITH GEEK SQUAD AGAIN. Yesterday we got a message from them that the anti-malware software they sold me was no longer renewable through them, and I would have to buy something else. NOT FROM BEST BUY, I WILL NOT.

I've had it for a while now and no problems at all. It is quiet and reasonably fast via USB3. I use it for "time capsule" and a large music library (which is backed up elsewhere)

I needed to replace the external "Time Machine" on my Imac and just took the advice of the clerk with no checking on my own. I've gotten used to that kind of action on a lot of Best Buy products.. this item, as all the rest of my purchases was as suggested, a good replacement.

dropped it a few times on accident still works perfectly though and it never cracked or anything. its def worrh it if youre a big gamer

Was wanting a simple 4tb drive for backups and media, and this works just fine. Great value and comes with simple backup software, along with other WD drive tools, etc.

This HD is great for storing video files or just connecting from 1 PC to another or Laptop to take videos or audio books with you on a trip. Very portable.

this external hard drive is pretty good, I use it for my playstation 4 and I have no problem with accessing my games I put on there. should buy if running out of space!

This drive was advertised at an excellent price. I didn’t need it right at that moment, but I knew I would in a few weeks. When I was ready to use the drive, I opened the box and this unit showed signs of being a used product. I was very disappointed because it was advertised as new. It works great, but not happy with all of it cosmetic flaws. When I buy opened box that is what I expect. When I buy new, that is also what I expect!! This drive did not meet my expectations!

This is just a WD Red HDD for a great price. I bought 2, one for Xbox one and one for simple backups on PC. They're not the fastest drives but theyre solid and get the job done.

Additional storage for music, movies, pictures and whatever your heart desires. It's plug and play portability is great for car travel, hotel stays and visiting family.

The first one purchased would not show up on my computer. Had tech help still couldn't get it to show. Since it was within 30 days took back to store and they replaced it. This one works great. Have no problems with it.

This form factor of drive is what we use at work to send data back and forth with our main processing contractor. It's a little large, and it's not inexpensive, but it gets the job done shipment after shipment. When you need quick transfers and reliable storage, WD is the way to go.

I use the easystore drive for my plex setup on my computer. I store all my media to it. I use one drive for all my current media and use another for a backup.

I bought this to replace a 1TB WD MyPassport now that there are more MBs to backup. I have it connected to our Apple AirPort Extreme. Setup an configuration with TimeMachine was pretty straight forward. Now all of our MBs backup automatically when connected to power.
