The power plug jack was slightly misaligned w/ the hole in the case. I could plug the power plug in, but figured eventually the extra force would break the jack solder joints. I would still recommend this, but check for that. It was probably a one off though.

We needed a hard drive with a lot of storage. This on was on sale and well worth it.

easy to use, and transfer file. has not bogged down my system when transferring files from old system to new, or from pc to pc. well worth the money.

I'm not very savvy with the hard drive technology, so I accidentally downloaded the pre-installed software. Only after did I realize it wouldn't work with my Mac's TimeMachine, so I had to restart and wipe the drive. Other than that, it works great!

I use it as a back up device so I can’t say how it works in extended use. I’ve had no problems with it

Needed this to store photos and videos for YouTube and it’s been a treat so far. It’s fast transferring with USB 3.0.

I bought this large external drive to use for Time Machine backups. It was advertised on the box as being compatible with Mac. It contained initial software that prevented my Mac from seeing it. After working with two friends who know more than I do about these things, I returned it. If it does not work with Mac, it shouldn't say it does, and if it does work, there should be more specific instructions included (perhaps in writing in the box) about how to make it compatible. I've bought backup drives from Best Buy before and they have worked, but not this one.

Utilizing USB 3.0, this external hard drive provides excellent transfer speed. Utilizing Norton Security, this drive makes backup fast and accurate.

We use this to send high quality videos from coast to coast and it has held up immensely thus far. Super easy to transfer files from Mac to PC and vice versa.

Does the job backups are flawless. Needed for extra file protection and this is a great compact unit barely hear it.

The external drive works as expected and the transfer rates are reasonable. If it holds up for it's rated life, then it will be well worth the sale price.

With all the problems with hacking or computers not working, I purchased this storage to back up the home computer. Works great and no more stress.

This is a quick replacement for a failed NAS. Works well and no issues. Not a huge fan of the WD software.

The WD Easystore 4TB external USB 3.0 Hard Drive is very fast and responsive; unlike many others that take time to "wake up" when not accessed recently.
