A Great Amount of Storage For A Great Price

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This external drive gave me a lot of storage space for storing extra files such as photos and videos without having to eat up my computer's main storage... and for the price I got it at for when it was on sale it was well worth the price too with 4TB of additional storage to use on this separate external hard drive!

Easy to use

I would definitely recommend this to all my friends and family. Made backing up all my photos of breeze with the plug and play capability . Hooking it up to my network router was also a breeze. Now all my wireless products can exes music and pictures very quickly.

Flawless. Using for time machine backup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to backup my two Macs. I connected it to one Mac and formatted it as HFS extended. Then connected it to the USB port of my Asus router that supports time machine. Configured it in the router and now both of my Macs are performing time machine backups to this hard drive automatically. So far good.

Great HD for Great Price

Get the Geek squad protection. Anyway, when I wasn't dropping it, it was a very reliable HD for my XBOX One. Never any issue before and since I had a positive experience with it, I came back and bought a new one. This does need need to be plugged in so you can't run it just by USB.

External Drive for PS4

Contacted WD about it and they aren't going to do anything about it, I guess. Using drag and drop works much better, so I will continue using that for my backups.

It's a hard drive; it stored stuff

One of my older drives stopped working so I swapped some drives around. It's connected to an iMac and used for Time Machine. I can't speak to any of the software or tools that come with the drive since I just wipe the drive and let macOS handle it when it configures it for Time Machine use.
