From plug in to start up of my playstation, being able to immidiately format the device to work and files download to the HD right afterwards. Easy, lots of space, just very happy. I no longer have to debate on which game to delete whenever something new comes about!

I've been consolidating thousands of files from three different hard drives ranging from 500 GB to 2 TB. This HUGE hard drive holds it all and COST ME LESS than the last single TB drive I purchased. Watching movies and listening to music directly from the drive is working wonderfully as it is FAST. I have not attempted to run any large games directly from the drive, but it does run Open Office (write, calc,etc.) without lag.

I bought this to use with my Xbox so that I could use my 2tb with my PS4 instead. For $100 plus a $25 gift card this was a great buy. The only thing I don't like is that it needs to be connected to the console by USB and still needs to be powered through an AC cable plugged into the wall.

I bought the drive to use with my Playon account to permanently save all of my video files. This is a great upgrade over an internal hard drive. This is my second WD and I recommend it to anyone who needs to expand their storage.

The drive is perfect for what I needed at work. It seems to be fast access and it’s light weight.

Had to upgrade my backup drives as my photo sizes are getting larger and larger with the higher resolution cameras. I’ve always used WD and Seagate external drives, but WD seem to have the better features today for the price. I’ve never had a WD fail on me before.

Great external HDD. Western Digital provides great products and cannot be more happy with mine.

WD External Hard Drives are the best there is, as I have been buying these Hard Drives for years without and problems at all. If you can catch this 4TB External Hard Drive on sale at BestBuy, just buy it, as you will be very happy with its performance!

Got this on sale as extended storage for my PS4. It works great and can't beat the price. It is quite thick though but that doesn't bother me. Also, works kind of like a portable PS4 if I'm visiting family that has a ps4 I just bring this and don't need to lug my old big ps4 around.

4TB external drive for my PS4 for 90 bucks that it thats my review great price for 4TB of space cannot beat it its not as loud as they said and keeps pretty cool very glad I bought the bloody thing now I have so much space and new reason to keep gaming on the PS4

easy to install and use, especially for large quantities of media. security option would be nice

My current back up hard drive is a 500 GB and quickly filling up. Always have a back up plan.

I am using the unit to store backups of our computers. The plan was to attach it to my router through the USB port. The drive works with no issue. However, the router is from 2009 and was setup on XP and doesn't recognize the drive. The windows 10 computers have no problem with recognizing the drive. I am ordering a new router with USB3 connection to take advantage of the USB3 speed. Should have the router early next week.

I connected it to a Rasperry/Linux and it works fast :)

Having a huge 4-TB capacity, this drive is a bargain for the price I paid for it from Bestbuy.

We got my son the XBOX 1 for Christmas and we know nothing about these game systems. I bought a bundle pack the had xtra controller and games also purchased everything else from battery packs,controller stand, vertical base, game headphones anyway in 2 weeks he filled the memory up and told me he needed a external hard drive so I bought this one cause it has 4 terabyte of memory. Hope it last a couple months

I use WD most of the time for my backups, aside from SanDisk and Seagate. But when you have a large storage device like this, they're very convenient for backing up your Desktop or Laptop while you use it in case you're afraid of it crashing while using it.
