We were completely overloaded with pictures on various devices. This was an easy solution.

Simple easy to setup and use no problems exact I had to delete misc "tools" on the drive.

All in all, this is a good purchase. I paid a little less than $100 for 4TB of storage. It is very fast and quiet. The only downside is that it requires a power adapter.

from what i saw on this product it was great then when ibused it it lived upto its name

Works great with ps4 to expand memory. Used breifly with ps5 but caused some issues ended up getting internal ssd for ps5 but this external works fine for ps4

At beginning, there is a problem for formatting at iMac. It works later at my MacBook.

Love the piece of mind of having another copy of my most important files. Of course, you should include an offsite option in your backup strategy. Having this is part of the solution. Fast, quiet, good value.

Got this on sale. USB 3 transfer speeds are much faster than an older hard drive I had.

This external HDD contains WD NAS Red drive, a perfect drive for internal storage or NAS. I have been eyeing on this product for a perfect price and snagged it for <$100. There are many Youtube instructions for you to follow, if you wish to take the drive out of the shell.

I use this drive for backup of documents, photos, video, and music. It is extremely important that especially family photos be backed up to more than one drive. This 4TB WD drive has worked exactly as expected.

Finally i can consolidate all my little HD's to one location. Wish it did not have to be connected to AC but it is nice that it shuts down with PC (not like my older/smaller HD's). So far plenty of space. I did not measure the actual transfer rate but did expect it to be a little faster. All in all I'm satisfied after all it is just for secondary storage and the price was right.

How can you go wrong with a Western Digital drive? This is performing as expected. It is perfect to back up all 5 of my computers to save off line so they are safe from ransomware. I highly recommend, not only this drive, but I also recommend getting it from Best Buy.

Great external drive for photos and videos. The included software makes everything east to setup. The 8tb has the WD red drives but I'm not sure about this one.

I originally bought one for me but they are so easy to setup and fast for backup and retrieval with the USB3 speed that I bought another one for my son and one for another family member. Thanks Western Digital, you keep up the good products and I'll keep buying them.

for the price i got cant be beat. I am using it for my xbox 1 and it works perfect. Easy plug and play just follow instructions when connect to xbox and done. Good amount of storage and very fast download time

Purchased 500g Xbox One S for Son, Christmas ‘16. Got ALMOST to a calendar year before necessity dictated that an Ext HD be acquired. This’n satisfied the need.

Now that I am using my camera/video equipment more often I needed something that I know I can count on. Bought the 4TB because my last two had filled up. So far I have not had any issues with this drive and feel confident that I can rely on it.

Purchased alongside my Xbox One X and now I have room for all my games. I even bought some new games just because I now have the space for all of them on my Xbox. If you game, you will need this - especially now that games take up almost 100GB of space.
