Has all the capacity that you will need for the next several years. Contains a WD blue drive now instead of the red. Also has no encryption like the mybook.

Needed more space for my PS4. This worked great! Transfer rate was a bit slow but that's to be expected. So far so good and a great price! Just connected it to my ps, formatted it, and it was ready.

i needed an external hard drive due to the amount of pictures that my wife takes. computer was getting slow due to its hard drive being near capacity. now i have plenty of space since i transferred all of the pics to the external drive

Im not a professional but its a great product for normal people like me, fast and easy to use. The only thing that I didn't know was that it has to be plug in to an outlet but I haven't try to used it unplug to the wall to see if it works like that

I bought this a while back and it's really easy to use. Plug it in and you're ready to go even without the WD software. I filled it up quicker than I expected and just recently bought the 10TB version.

I like the older my books but these easystores are better with no hardware encryption. The ac is a vertically aligned brick with takes up some room. Otherwise quiet and seems to run cool unfortunately these no longer come with the red nas internal Wd drives but rather the blues. Still at about 25/tb is a relatively good bargain. Very quiet. No internal fan but not much heat.

I have used WD My Books in the past. I have found no difference in performance with the EasyStore. I use these external drives with my media server. We watch plenty of digital content and have had no issue with speed and response times. Great value

This is a very nice little drive. Nice looking. Speed is pretty reasonable. It does come with a combined USB 2/3 cable which I didn’t have before

I needed drives to put in a Synology DS218+ so I purchased two of these on sale after hearing that they had WD Reds inside. Now I have 8TB in my Synology and two cases to put some extra drives in that were just laying around.

I already have a portable 3TB HDD, and was looking for a larger one. This WD 4TB was easy to install and got ready to use as soon as I hooked it up. With the BestBuy discounted price, I could not miss it. I am very happy with what I purchased.

This product was on sale and couldn't pass it up. Speed is awesome and the backup software that comes with it works very well without having to use other backup software. I have tons of backup/storage. One can never have enough backups.

Good overall performance. Does require wall outlet for power.
