I needed to upgrade my memory for the xbox one and this was great.

The number of options for an external hard drive were intimidating and I didn't know which to get, or how much space I needed. A wonderful Best Buy employee helped me choose this one based on my needs and I am so happy with it.

I have this plugged into my Linksys router as a network drive. Lots of storage space and because it uses a separate power source unlike the mobile hard drives, it is faster and always shows the pictures for music files, etc.

Works great with the Dish Hopper. Holds twice as much as the DVR.

Very easy product to use. No issues with retrieving from storage.

I bought one of these back in 2011, and it's still working perfectly. I wanted another backup, as I'm a photographer and paranoid about losing files, so I bought another one. I'm very pleased with this product!

Only saves changes, not the entire computer, so I never have to remember to go in and deletes older saves, and I can have it save as quickly as every hour and never have to worry about running out of room. Quick, and easy to use.

Works great, fast USB 3.0 transfer speeds Great Value for the money. Only thing is I wish it came with a base to keep it more stable.

Brought this wd external hd about a month ago. It has a 4TB red drive in the enclosure. I'm just using it for back up purpose. I like it so much I just brought the 8TB model. Will buy another 8TB HD when it goes back on sale again.

You want to go with this model over the other WD full-sized external drives. This has a WD Red series, which is designed for storage rather than a value drive designed for general use. This should result in longer life.

Installing the software for the 4TB hard drive was very easy.

Easy setup and the form factor is small. It is quiet and doesn’t seem to heat up at all. I have been using it daily for several years now with no issues. Excellent value!

This device does everything it’s supposed to do. I have a MacBook Pro and I make a lot of videos and music. Having an iPhone and a MacBook can really crowd your iCloud storage. This is a great addition!!!

We’re using this with a PS4 as additional storage. We just plugged it in and it was ready to go. No issues with using games stored on it, and we still have plenty of space even after adding several games.

Bought this larger size drive as a redundant back up primarily for music files. I was able to transfer over a terabyte of files from another portable drive via usb connection with no problems on a WIN7 Pro computer.

My only complaint is a small white blinking light on the front that seems unnecessary. Otherwise, it's 4TB at a good price that works as it's supposed to without any issues. Using it for additional Xbox storage for games.
