The hard drive was a replacement for one that was outdated. This hard drive was easy to install and very convenient. The set up was very easily done. All our files were transferred without any issues.

Western Digital makes the best SATA drives on the market

Quick to connect, small so it can be place out of the way. Easy good software that's easy to download and quick to understand and setup. Only bad area is it seems to randomly slow down my pc here and there. Not sure what's doing it but I can see the "busy" LED flashing on the drive when this happens and my system hangs. Otherwise love it.

Works as expected! Easy to setup and use! Wife loves it!

I bought this for the 4 Tb size. I have added all my movies, pics, and music. Hooked it up to my linksis router and now the whole family can share. Very happy to replace 2 each 1 Tb drives with this. No problems so far.

So far so good. Using this mostly for photo backup, and it has been working reliably and is plenty fast. If it proves to be reliable over time, I would be very happy to buy another one just like it.

My daughter, like many needed extra space for photo's and music. 1 TB just was not cutting it. After much research I purchased a WD external hard drive and it is great!! Also good for back ups as well as storage.

I can't really say anything about the enclosure or USB interface, other than that it was really easy to take apart. I pulled the hard drive out and am using it as an internal storage drive on my gaming PC. WD are and have always been good, solid hard drives. I buy them almost exclusively (save for Samsung SSDs or budget drives for things like media PCs). I used to be a Seagate guy, since they were pretty much the same quality and longevity as WD drives, it was just a matter of preference. In the past ten years, though, my experience is that Seagate has declined steadily to basically just producing garbage and selling it fast enough that the warranty runs out, while WD has stayed the same good quality. It's a Blue drive inside, so it's not winning any awards, but if you're looking to store movies, pictures, music, and files for low-performance/older games, this is 4 terabytes of solid hardware.

I was looking for extra storage to my personal PC and my Xbox One. I've found this good deal and decided to buy 2. So far I have been very please since the 4Gb give me enough extra space for games and photos.

Purchased this to transfer my photos and videos. media was transferring at around 50mb/sec so that was a decent speed. Just connected it to my PC, it installed drivers and I was able to use it right away

In my case this hard drive works for me I have to back up information in my work and 4T are a good space and it is reliable

Brand new granddaughter so we needed places for the pictures and video. It's been awhile sense we bought it and will probably have to get another one soon. Great price!

Western Digital has always made good USB external Hard drive. I was looking for more space and this 3.0, 4 TB works great.

I bought this Hard Drive to back up all my data from desktop, laptop, and cellphone. Works fast, smooth, quiet. The software is easy to use and nice performance.

Solid deal on a product with a good track record. Using an external drive for backups is a must for me and this came at the right price during a sale. Lasting more than a year so far with no problems.

This Drive Works good for a storage drive so far. I don't care to much for the backup software that comes on it so far, as I am not to sure just how much of a backup it really is. I hope I never need to fine
