Hard drives are primarily about speed and reliability. Seems zippy enough and time will on reliability. Have had good success with western digital drives in the past.

Makes saving music easier for me. WD always been a fan of their products may buy a 8TB external just for back up and store that drive in my closet for safe keeping.

Often placed in the roll of back up for a PC but this drive has many potentials including the base for your home business. Price and capabilities are unrivaled

This hard drive is super fast & helps me with storing my final cut pro projects as they're very large files. It was a bit of a headache to reformat for my MAC though as the instructions weren't very clear on how to do so. Youtube videos helped me to figure it out

I got this as an additional backup to my hard drive on my PC it does its job very easily Plug and Play No worries no problems.

Using as time machine for Mac. My last one I had for seven years and just wanted to update to a new one. Nothing wrong with my old one, but will use for other purposes now.

Easy set up, just plug and play. Problem is that after about a week or so had to unplug from my computer and now I cannot get it to auto connect on start up. It says to connect WD external drive, it is connected!!!

This is my 3rd 4TB WD Ext. HD. I have probably 8 smaller WD ones. The other name brands which have failed have been replaced by Western Digital, which last and work.

This is a great and easy setup hard drive for anyone looking to get a ton of extra space no matter what types of files and or games they are trying to download.

I have a 128gb MacBook Air in which I was running out of space. This hard drive alleviated my woes. It is fast and stores all of my files with ease. Would definitely recommend.

I bought this a couple years ago and am happy with the reliability. It is on 24/7 and it only takes a few seconds to spin up from power saving mode. I am happy.

Using for time machine backups. Formating for Mac OS was easy. Wish I'd bought a drive with ethernet port to attach directly to router as having to go through an older time capsule with USB 2.0 makes things very slow. It took days to make a first backup with that connection.

This is perfect for college students for backing up a MAC (or anything really) good size for the dorm and lots of space to store 4 years of class notes and art projects!!

I shopped around before ultimately deciding on this external hard drive. I really wanted an internal hard drive for my PS4 Pro, but did not want to compromise the integrity of the HDD tray in getting a 15mm one. This one has its own power source that plugs in to a wall outlet, vs. one that is powered via USB. Those tend to overheat. It will work really well with the PS4, and you will get about 3.64TB of available space, after formatting. I will be set for a while! It is bulkier than other external hard drives, but it feels really firm and sturdy. I definitely recommend it for anyone who is on the fence like I was.

I was running low on storage for my xbox one so I bought this. Works great and was on sale. It was cheaper then the ones they advertise specifically for gaming storage.

Purchase the external drive because it was even cheaper than buying a bare drive for my NAS. Opened it up and found a WD Red drive. These are specifically designed for NAS.

Picked up on sale. Fortunate enough to have gotten the 4TB on sale for $90. Easy to use, slim style for great storage. A lot of storage for a little price tag!
