Used this external drive to copy and store all files from old home computer. Small footprint and enough capacity to do the job.

Using this drive as a network drive and it works great. Drive goes to sleep after some amount of time of non-use to save power, which is really nice. Also, I've never had an issue where it would not spin back up correctly after it's been in sleep mode, so that has worked perfectly. The only glitch so far (I believe) is related to a new Netgear Router I installed. I've had some, totally random, issues where copying files to the drive stalls. I'm assuming this is some issue or compatibility problem w/ the router, and not the drive itself, since I never had the issue when the drive was connected directly to a PC.

I needed a multi-room entertainment storage device. I had bought a smaller WD HD for my PS4. Same connection 4TB! Plenty of storage space and a great price too!

Great item to add more memory to your Xbox or ps4 no lag of speed or any problem with your gaming console not mentioning the set-up all you have to do is plugged in

Great device works with a breeze. I purchased this device to back up some computers due to auditing requirements. I backed up my information for years to come.

I purchased this external hard drive to back up my PC's. I did not realize that the is not any security features built into it. You cannot encrypt it so anybody can get to your data without a password. Reagrdless, it is 4TB so it will hold a LOT of data.

Replaced a pair of 2TB drives with the new 4TB drives. Reused already plugged in power and USB cords. Took about five minutes to install and start a full system backup.

this is a great buy for the money, a simply and convient way to keep backups and additional storage for little cost. a must when it comes down to it...

This is my forth WD External Hard Drive, not because they go bad, because in need of additional backup storage. Very dependable and easy to hookup and transfer files!

I've had it this for about 4 months and it's worked perfectly for what I needed it for. Definitely recommended for anyone that needs extra storage space.

Bought this to backup another WD drive. This hard drive was on sale at a great price. I had an excellent experience with Western Digital hard drives in the past.

Western Digital does it again with a great desktop external! This is my 3rd WD drive, and the quality and durability has not changed! I high recommend this one!

Purchased this item as it was at a good price. easy to assemble. heats up a good sized room. lhas a remote control and it has a handle to make it quite portable.

After seeing the price we really surprised and got this product. Looks good and little big in size. Except overall good . Slim will be costly and we wont get for 4GB.

I replaced my 1T with this 4T. Connected to my router and setup a media server. Works very well and has lots of space available. Time to put more videos on it ;)

Have had it for several months and it has performed as expected, and gives the extra peace of mind that my data is safe if something happens to my PC.

I purchased this drive as a backup solution for all of the laptops in our home. This drive works perfectly for that. After plugging it in directly to our WiFi cable modem router via the USB port, I configured the drive for backups over our wireless network using the router's built-in backup/restore application. This drive is now backing up all of our laptops automatically directly over our home network. This drive includes its own backup/restore application and utilities, but I chose to use the router's backup/restore application instead (my preference, that's all).

Except for the easyshare name which is exclusive to BestBuy, these are the same as the WD MyBook drives from a few years ago. Nice basic and reliable storage.
