Old software pre-loaded but good external drive

I took their advice and went directly to their website to download the software. I think that made things easier. I haven't had any problems with the drive. It's fast even though I have it plugged into a 2.0 USB port.

Great Product

Nothing was easy about the " easy store " for me. This is the reason that I bought this product because I thought it was easy to use.

Great backup solution

The huge capacity for the price is the selling point here as well as the brand reputation. I connected it via USB to my router to share it and haven't had to think about it since. I can easily backup multiple PCs to it. Do note that this is a "desktop" external hard drive, meaning that it is quite a bit larger than a portable one and comes with a power brick. The WD software is "ok". I can't say if this is shuckable or not as I got it as a standalone pseudo-nas so haven't taken it apart.
