At least as of right now, there's not a bigger phantom powered external HDD. Once you get to 5 TB, it seems like they're all ac powered. I got mine for $90 too, so about $25 per TB (with tax) is pretty good.

This 4 tb hard drive works well for all my backups. You cannot have to many hard drives. Being portable and on sale does not hurt either. My wife takes a lot of photos and it holds thousands of photos.

Bought it at Thanksgiving Sale, $79. 4TB and it’s Western Digital. Can’t complain, super savings and the product is beyond expectation. Always love WD brand. I need to buy one when it’s on sale again.

I'm using it as a backup drive, so the proof will really come over time. for now, I can say it was pretty inexpensive, easy to set up, and it's dead quiet. It also doesn't take much room. It looks pretty damned generic with no real distinguishing marks, so I put a sticker on the top to identify it from all the other backups I have.

Just about a year ago a 4TB external hard drive was hard to come by, but for $99 its a deal you can't pass up. If its not on sale when you read this post then I would wait a week or two before buying!

Bought this 4tb external hard drive on black friday for $80 and it was a great deal. Its portable and big in storage space I have no problems with it and I would recommend people to get this product when it is on sale and not when it is $199.99 which is their retail price.

WD's externals have served us well in the past, and this one is no exception. Spacious and fast. The impetus for our purchase, though, was the Black Friday pricing - very inexpensive at that time.

I was amazed how small this external hd was when I received it. I got a great deal on this 4tb drive and love that there is no need for external power, just a usb connection. Very impressed so far.

I use it everyday, i use it for my ps4 extra storage and so far it has been good no issues with it ! I also used it for my laptop to store everything

Highly recommended!! I have used WD drives for many years and have different sizes for different uses. This one I picked up specifically for quick access to the information I might need right now. Rather than carrying around two laptops and dozens of mini jump drives I can easily drag any files, photos etc. to this drive and drop it in my bag. Super simple to use, plug and play!

I bought this to pair with my PC as an external drive for recording videos. Got it on sale at $80 and for this amount of storage that's a price I'll pay every time. Easily formatted and versatile.
