Big capacity, good price, but noticably slower
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got the drive at a good price but I am noticing the drive is around half the speed of my older 8 TB Seagate drives (ext expansion ones). It also seems a bit less sturdy than the older WD line of external drives. Otherwise no other issues so far. As far as recommending to friends - only if the price is right. Otherwise it's probably worthwhile to spend $10-$20 bucks more for a faster unit unless you don't mind the slower transfer speeds.

More than enough storage

I have connected it to my Extreme Router and access it as network drive to easily copy/access files. With its portable feature, I can easily carry it wherever I want.

Hassle free and easy to use large storage disk

If required all can be stored as encrypted using the available tool on the disk.

Gets the job done.

The 8TB it has all work and at decent speeds for putting on and receiving data off of it. Really good for archiving stuff onto it.
