Unit had a problem

When I plugged this in, it showed a total capacity of 9.1 TB. I worked with WD support and they suggested I return it. I do have another smaller WD drive and it works great. I was just unlucky and got a defective unit. I will be getting another one soon.

Shows, but says there is nothing on it - can't access it - can't format it - can't recover it. My entire adult life of videos, pictures, and documents for my family GONE!!!

Contained a 2TB Seagate Pipeline, 80k bad sectors

Western Digital or Best Buy need to have higher inspection standards, it doesn't take a lot of work to check the drive's firmware and health.

Technical support could not help at all. The only other option is a REFURBISHED replacement through warranty! Not pleased at all.
