This external hard drive is great for backing up my photos. The 4TB make it so it will hold thousands of photos, which is great for photographers.

This is big enough for all my tax files, photos and everything else I need to keep a back up of. There is plenty of room to be able to add to with out running out of space.

This is very useful and exactly what I wanted. The price was right too. I have had good luck in the past with WD products.

use this for backing up files and folders,you will need this if there is not a lot of file and backing up space.

needed an extra external usb drive for my windows 8.1 system- size and price were good for this one. I have used lots of MyBooks or similar devices in past. this comes formatted in exFAT so if you are using a windows system (at least win 8.1) then it might be good to not leave it connected all the time as start up can hang. Had to reformat it to NTFS so it would play nice. Decent speed. quiet. it has no lights on it so the only way you know it's on is if you feel the hum or see it show up in your devices. no power switch for rebooting - have to disconnect power cord. probably wouldn't get again.

I have 4 gaming rigs that I would hate to have to restore if they crashed.. so I bought this drive for backing up my computers... its just the right size and works great.

I have been using PC's for over 30 years. Over those years I've found out which brand lasts, and which one's don't. Seldom will you have a WD hard drive fail. As a result, when I needed another external hard drive, I pretty much only considered WD, but wanted it at the best price. I had considered getting Best Buy to price match a competitor. But when I was ready to buy, Best Buy had that same low price. That's when I made my purchase. It's a high capacity drive, with a three year warranty, which means WD will stand behind their product. Couldn't be happier!

It does not take up space- I will no longer forget to back up my PCs. Peace of mind.

needed to get more space for my Xbox One. The 4 terabyte was on sale for believe 8999. Was it amazing deal now I have a total of 8 terabytes for my Xbox One

I'm running a lot of steam games off this hard drive right now. The USB 3.0 is fast enough that I forget I'm playing off an external drive with most gaming experiences.

I can easily backup my computer files and feel confident that my data is protected. The 4 TB allows me to do monthly backups and still have plenty of space.

I purchased this to hook to my old Netgear router through ReadyShare. But it would not work. Netgear wanted me to split My Book into 4 1tb logical drives. No thanks. Works fine connecting directly to the computer through USB 3.0.

This drive looks great in an office setting, and is reliable, with great speeds. It's not a performance hard drive, but it's great for expanding storage and backups.

I'm still working out how it will work for my specific use but it seems to transfer quickly and connecting it to my computer was quick and easy.

My WD 4TB USB 3.0 was a great choice. I've always had great luck with WD drives, just needed more space (don't we all), hence the upgrade. Fast shipping. Great product!

I bought this online during the promotion via visa checkout which knocked the price down to under $90. Amazing deal and have had no problems with the product as of yet.
