I use this as my additional storage for my Xbox One; it works wonderfully and I store all my Games with Gold on it.

So I have owned one and use it for my playstation and have had about a year with no problems. So Ihave ordered this one for my son to use with his ps4.

Wish it did not need to be plugged on to an electronic outlet. Can you answer me that. Otherwise I love the storage capacity.

I had been storing my photos on a second hard drive in my desktop computer so I was running out of space. I bought the My Book 4TB External USB 3.0 Hard Drive for two main reasons. 1. I was concerned that my old drive would eventually fail. 2. My new camera's file sizes are very large and after I edit some of the photos the file size is even larger when saved as .PSD. So far the hard drive works as I expected. It is fast and does not slow me down while I am editing and saving my photos. I've set up automatic backup to back up any changes in my files so I don't have to worry about it.
