I never got any issue with this drive plus I had 2 of the other drive from WD company about 7 years and never had any problems

I attempted to install this unit but received multiple failure notices upon multiple backup attempts. I called WD Support on day 3 and required remote access assistance to properly install and reset many functions. Many changes were required, but I was guided through remote access and am now receiving automated backups after a phone call with 2 techs that took over 1 hour. The second support person guided me through the remote access procedure and did a very goodt job of assisting. I would give this product a higher rating if I had not had frustration and much time to initiate the first backup.

I bought this (4TB) drive based on recommendations on several tech sites and it is much faster than I expected. I copied approximately 600GB of audio and video files in just under 1.5 hours from a PC laptop using a utility called FastCopy. Transfer speed was fairly solid at 145MB/s which was about 2X faster than I expected. I didn't use or need the included software.

It simply works. Plug and play. I've had no issues at all since purchase.

I love how well it does exactly what it needs to do. Fast enough for me. I can back up 60 gigs in less than 12 mins.

would've given 5 stars but the lack of any indicator lights is annoying. Works solid and huge amount of storage.

Attached to my PS4 and works fine. Glad to have the extra storage that is for sure.

Is a great price for the amount of storage you get, and from a brand that is known.
