I have had really good luck with WD MyBooks over the years. This one seems as solid as all my others. Right now, I only by WD external drives.

I haven't used it yet. I bought it but it's sitting in my living room, waiting to be used.

I have several of these devices connected to my office computer and feel they are vital for backing up sensitive data.

We have numerous external hard drives and have had only 1 issue with a wd drive. This drive like the majority of others has worked well for us!

this has worked very well for me and the Geek squad did a great job in transferring all my existing data onto the new drive

I was able to get this item on sale and have been very pleased with the performance thus far. Data transfers quickly. Haven't had any issues yet.

Was able to easily connect to my iMac and move over files pretty quickly. Held everything on my 1tb hard drive plus had room for a ton more.

I bought this to expand my space. Has worked great!!! and its very fast, you can't even tell its an external HDD plugged in no LAG what so ever.

This is a good dive. It is very quiet so it is hard to tell it is on. It would be good if it had a light that would indicate it is on.

Using this device for our network back-up. We plugged it into our server and net support programmed full back-ups to run daily. No issues.

Plugged this into my router's USB port, and I have my own media server.

Purchased one for each of my sons to back up their PlayStation 4. Perfect fit and much more economical than purchasing the PS version

A great solution to backup all my photos, videos, and music files. Solid design and very quick!

This is a good drive for backups or external storage like images. It is a lot louder than higher performing drives but it makes up for it in lower cost.

I don't want forced encryption that come with the case, so have chucked for the drive, and it has been solid for the past a few months. Good luck!
