    This is about the biggest hard drive you can get for cheap. Also this one will last longer then the USB powered ones.

    So far so good. However the drive is pretty loud. I had a Seagate 4TB external drive for a while and I barely noticed any noise. If you have a quiet computer in a quiet room, you will definitely hear it when the drive starts working. I am not too bothered by it however. I've already gotten used to it. Also since I can't see the drive normally behind my monitor setup, it's kind of nice to hear the drive working.
