Definitely a nice drive for the most part, seems to work really well with Mac when formatted properly. I like the fact that it’s got a 3 year warranty. Only thing I feel i should mention is that I purchased two of these drives a while back and each developed a very concerning grinding noise after 2 1/2 - 3 years of use. Both apple disk utility and western digital’s drive diagnostic software said the drives had issues at this point.

Must Have For All You Gamers Out There To Hold All Your Games

WD does a solid job of creating these little backup drives. This was started up with no problems and has plenty of room for a "backup of the backup" ...redundancy is everything. This was a great value for the money. It "goes to sleep" when you don't need it and runs very quietly when it is active . Plus no annoying bright LED lights like with prior models. Sleek design on this one.

This drive is functioning great. I used it to replace a smaller drive that quit working after 2 weeks.

All the documentation is on-line there are no instructions in the box. But you don't really need any as it is pretty simple to use.

I did a lot of online research, the sale price for the hardware you get was a great value overall. I decided to reformat right out of the box, so. I am not using any of the WD software that came preinstalled. This allowed me to save files from both my PC and MacBook without partioning the drive. Also, this is time capsule compatible if you want to use if for that as well. Overall I’m happy with this product.
