i own 3 of these and only buy WD drives as they are the most reliable of all hard drives out there and as an IT guy my reputation is on the line.

WD drives are my go-to drives for quick and easy backups in our cad room at work. We use these daily and are connected 24-7 , can't say I've ever had one fail on me.

Best Buy had this at a great price. Had a little problem finding the right file for the backup software installation, but WD overall makes a good product.

Quick and quiet drive. Perfect for backups. Easy to set up and no formatting required. Can’t speak for the software that came with it. I didnt use it.

My trusty 2 TB portable drive was flashing red in Windows as it neared full and wouldn't you know it I had another two dozen CD's to rip. So I went down to Best Buy, where I'd gotten the 2 TB several years ago, and found this WD My Book. It was at a good price and I was able to transfer all the old drives files over without any issues. The drive is quiet, has it's own power supply and some good software is included. I used the included WD Drive utilities to turn off the sleep mode because I use the drive for streaming and need it to be ready to go on a moments notice. Very happy customer.

Easy to install and comes with subscription for extra recovery software in case you manage to delete files unintentionally.

I was looking to expand my storage on my ps4. This was plug and play.

WD always delivers. I bought one seagate to ultimate disappointment and returned to what I know as a reliable manufacturer.

I purchased this drive, to use as external storage for my PS4 PRO, and couldn't be happier. Fast data access with the PS4, makes using this drive super enjoyable.

The boy, seriously loves Plex, and with that you need reliable storage. WD to the rescue! 4TB of movies and music, and he shares files with me. Life is good.

Needed an external hard drive for my xbox one and this was highly rated by multiple site. Only complaint is it did not speed up loading time that much but at least I have the extra storage for games now.
