Have had this drive for about 4 mos. now and haven't seen any signs of problems yet. The only thing I'm not so thrilled about is how fast it goes to sleep when not in use. Almost immediately. It causes a delay in transferring and accessing files and at times appear to be stuck. Never experienced that in a drive before. Usually the sleep function happens after being inactive for a while. Not sure if it's the Windows 10 computer I'm using or what (still not a huge fan Win 10). But otherwise, so far so good

Nice drives. grinding noises after couple yrs.

I like the fact that it’s got a 3 year warranty. Only thing I feel i should mention is that I purchased two of these drives a while back and each developed a very concerning grinding noise after 2 1/2 - 3 years of use. Both apple disk utility and western digital’s drive diagnostic software said the drives had issues at this point.
