4th WD drive I've had over time

This was started up with no problems and has plenty of room for a "backup of the backup" ...redundancy is everything. This was a great value for the money. It "goes to sleep" when you don't need it and runs very quietly when it is active . Plus no annoying bright LED lights like with prior models. Sleek design on this one.

Small footprint, easy to use

I decided to reformat right out of the box, so. I am not using any of the WD software that came preinstalled. This allowed me to save files from both my PC and MacBook without partioning the drive. Also, this is time capsule compatible if you want to use if for that as well. Overall I’m happy with this product.
