This thing is really powerful (if turn it up all way) gets in all the hard to get places, only thing I don’t like that much is the on/off switch have to keep holding to turn off, but still great

It took a while to get this to back up properly the first time, but I may have selected too many files to back up that weren't necessary. When I finally got the first backup complete, the daily backups have worked flawlessly.

My passport went out and I was told this was the best option. The separate power supply is a godsend. Great product

I use this HD as a backup, plug and play. Not as a network drive. It gives you about 3.6TB on Win 10. The WD software lets you set up a PW.

NO PROBLEM SO FAR HAD TO GET HELP INSTALLING BECAUSE I AM NOT A TECH PERSON BUT SO FAR I GUESS IT IS WORKING TO STORE SOME ITEMS THAT I DID NOT WANT TO LOSE SO WITH HELP IT IS CONNECTED WHICH IT DID NOT SEEM HARD TO INSTALL BUT I AM NOT A TECH PERSON

I recently upgraded my isp from 100 mbs to 300 mbs. I was unable to go past 150mbs with 2010 surfboard. This one can support 32 channels up to 1.2gbs. Had no issue with install speed test now show full bandwidth.

good value for 4TB. We'll see how long it holds up. I'm repeatedly frustrated by harddrives that die after two or three years, so I'll have to wait and see I guess.

When these drives are on sale, it's great to pick-up a few of these like I had. They are easy plug and play on my iMac with no messy prompts, formatting, etc. Great deal for the price and capacity!

I purchased the WD 4T external hard drive to back up my files on my Mac Pro computer. The start up was easy and the unit has been working ever since it was plugged into the computer. No problems.

Just plug the hard Drive and off you go! I hace a muy Cloud drive and needed a backup drive for my files. The files transferred very fast over the network and now i can rest knowing my backup is up to date

I bought this hard drive to backup my PC. So far it had been exactly what I was looking for. Only downside is the need for external power. Just make sure you have a spare socket ready!

We used this to do images of some databases and VMware to take offsite for Dorian and very pleased with the speed of transfer.

Seems to be a robust drive so far! It does make a little, sort of annoying skidding/squeaking noise when it spins down. Other than that, no complaints.

This product is great and has tons of space to offer! Only bad thing about it is it only gave me 3.36TB of space but its still alot so im not complaining!

I needed an external hard drive to back up another hard drive that was failing. This worked great for that purpose. A couple of programs were added during the installation that I am not sure that I need.

A must have for as bygone with an xbox 1 and needing slot of space for games. It loads really fast and depending on your internet speed downloads games fast as well.

I love My Book External Hard Drives! This is my third purchase of this type of hard drive from WD, and I would definitely recommend it!

Changed from Seagate to Western Digital because of warranty of 2 or more years. My last Seagate lasted 14 months, out of warranty at 12 months ad had to replace.

All in all its a decent external hard drive. Perks are the space obviously however the speed could be a tad faster depending on what your doing. Transferring files from it could be a little slow if it's a large file not too slow but a little but if it's smaller it's ok

I bought this for my ps4. Adding external hard drive support was the best thing to happened to gaming! I do recommend it! Its fast responsive and matches the ps4s look lol. Only thing i dislike is that there is no on off switch! Dangerous for a hard drive
