    I am a big fan of WD drives and this is no exception. My only complaint would be that Western Digital has eliminated the power/activity light on the drive. I really don't understand the logic behind that decision.

    This hard drive doesn’t take power or I should say use electricity makes it easier on the power bill and also unhooks and move to another computer making it great to use work on the hard drive on the go

    I have a Netgear ReadyNAS. I hooked this external drive up to my ReadyNAS and I'm using it to backup data from my NAS. It works flawlessly and it's quick!

    OK if you want a 3.5" drive, but same price as 2.5" drives these days. Doesn't appear to be faster than 2.5" drives & needs a power supply. Vents on top collect dust.

    Obviously, the drive was easy to install. Have had no issues. I wish the data transfer rate was faster but, other than that, am satisfied.

    DO NOT PURCHASE THIS DRIVE. As seen in my pic, all 3 have crashed with my priceless film footage over the last 8 months. This brand is unreliable. I have many drives. Frequent buyer and I’ve learned the MY BOOK brand is a catastrophe.
