Did some research, and drive rates pretty well. Hard drive storage getting cheaper. No issues so far, and works great with my Mac.

Huge hard drive that works well. I hooked it up to my router to use as my network drive.

The transfer speeds I get are over 100MB/sec. The sustained speed is usually over 100MB/sec and I get peak speeds over 130MB/sec show on Windows 10. 6TB is a lot of space. I also plug it into my WD MyCloud and have network access to it.

I am very surprised at how fast this hard drive performs. I have several other Seagate hard drives that give me trouble when trying to access big files. I can actually edit 4K footage in Premiere Pro off of this drive with very little issues. I'll be purchasing more!

yes I love it, I am able to store my programs, pictures and music on it that way they do not take up space on my computer. This is our third one, first one something happened and it lost all of the information on it, so we got another one and than now this one

This is a great External Hard Drive. The space vs. cost ratio is great [about $33.00/TB]. I made it even better with a 10% OFF coupon. Definitely recommend - waiting for some money to arrive in my bank, then I can buy another!

Bought this drive for backup, We have several at the dealership I work at for business drive backup, never had a problem out of them so I decided to buy one for my personal use, and so far I am very happy with my decision.

I was in search of a HD replace, and i bought this HD. i had 3 moths with it, and everything is fine. It has a very quit operation in compare with my old drive. It was a very good deal; price vs space.

Bought it and love it. Does exactly what i wanted it to do: free up space on my computer and save a lot of stuff. Gives you the option to put a lock on it as well.

This is a excellent hard drive if you need a lot of space for your files. A little slow at transferring large file ..

I set up unit to back up my computer, approximately 2TB with no issues. I have several of these units in various sizes with no failures so far.

I found this USB drive as a good backup for my files and personal items. The drive is a bit pricey, relative to the 5TB from the same manufacturer. The access time is fast. It meets my needs.

Great capacity to do quick system backups and other storage, it comes with great software to secure the device and do regular backups.

was shopping around to add on to my current 2TB external that is nearly filled up. This 6TB is a perfect size, quite and works great!

What can I say? This hard drive does exactly as it advertised. I am using it as an adjunct to a WD MyCloud NAS/personal cloud device and fits perfectly. I have no way to objectively measure the performance of the device but seems to be working fast enough for my needs. I have used WD products in the past and I've always had good luck with their reliability, but time will tell how reliable this unit will be. If anybody needs a decent sized external drive, this will fit the bill and is also reasonably priced for what you get.
