Cheap hard drive space. What a world we live in now where storage is cheap and reliable.

Easy to use. Fast. I backed up my photos manually so they will be save exactly the way I want them . Everything went fine. Then I decided to back up the time machine. Started it and got a message that I had to reformat the drive first. Since I already backed up my photos which were the most important- over 60,000+ . I decided not to back up the time machine. So you might want to format it first. Never had to format a back up drive before.

I use this drive with my PS5, for my PS4 games; not compatibly issues at all. The capacity is currently the largest available for PlayStation, so if you’re thinking about upgrading to, or already have a PS5, then this drive is perfect for storing all of your last generation games;

With my old drive full and unable to perform any more backups, I knew it was time to upgrade and obtain more capacity for my large collection of photos, music and documents. The WD drive set up quickly and the Support staff was very helpful in walking me through the software launch. It has already performed multiple backups with room to spare and no issues at all. Most pleased with this purchase and the help from Best Buy and WD.

A good hard drive that has been reliable since purchased. A little louder than previous WD hard drives I have used.

I am a digital photographer whom stores my raw and final PSD files on my WD my book 8TB hard drives. I plug them in as I need them and then unplug them when I don’t need them. I have yet to loose images from these HD drives. I have been using WD HD in various configurations since 1998, and have had no problems with them as of yet!

This drive has a ton of storage space available. I've had it in use for almost a month now and have had no issues. Western Digital is always my go-to brand for internal and external hard drives, and this one has lived up to my expectations. While this isn't the Black edition, it still seemingly operates faster than some of my older external drives.

Using this HD to store photos for my iMac. Reformatted the hard drive to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) with no issues. It takes about five to ten seconds to wake up if not actively being used. Once active, no time lag. Noticeable sound when the drive is spinning. Drive sits on a wood desk and the sound would reverberate, put an old rubber mouse pad under it for cushion and the vibration is greatly reduced.

After doing a little research, I found this to be the most cost effective storage expansion for an Xbox One. The system has had no issues and even seems to boot games faster. For those wondering an Xbox One can support up to 16 TB of external storage and has 3 USB ports so you can run two of these and a wireless headset pod
