Worked great with our MacBooks. Did not take long at all to set up.

These are working and are inexpensive but they are so slow. I have to wait for them to spin up, seemingly, all the time. I've changed the timeout in the app and in my Mac book settings. makes not difference.

It is wonderful for storing all our photos and videos.

I don't think I have ever owned a spinner that made as much noise as this one does. It gets the job done. it's fast enough but it makes my whole desk vibrate during writes. That's a bit odd and they all do it. For value it is fine for being annoying, it is not.

I bought this drive to put my Photo's on but even with the USB3 it was too slow to do photo editing with Light room. I also found it really noisy. If you plan on film, video or photo editing then pay the money for a thunderbolt devise that is way faster else this slows your whole system down.

It held lots of files and saved things very well for me.

Transfered MHWIB 50gb+ in about 12 minutes. I reinstalled all my games shortly after. Did not like that ps4 had 250gb left on internal hhd but would not install anything more. I don't have to decide what to uninstall any more.
