Excellent drive! Large amount of space for a good price!

Works exactly as advertised. Good price and great product.

I wish it was a tad bit quieter but other than that it is great.

This is my 3rd book, and I have had no problems. Good product and no regrets m would buy it again. Eventually they should try to make product smaller for your desk area or a stand on bottom so doesn't tip over so easy

This a very good hard drive with fast response times. It is quieter than others in this price range that I have tried. It has password protection when you download and install WD Security. WD Security is a very clunky software UI but it does enable password protection.

Had lots of other hard drive but they neded repairs.

Just had to plug it in and go. Good back up drive.

I’m a photographer/Videographer and my wife is a bookkeeper. I’ve always been big fan of these devices. This one is one of the fastest I’ve used. My computer is an Apple and my wife’s is a windows 10.... they’re compatible with both!

No issues so far! Works great however it does run a lot hotter than equivalent Seagate 8TB drives (60C instead of 45-50C)

It's great, it has good response and lots of memory for the price. The only thing we don't love is that if it's moved or bumped accidentally it becomes unresponsive. So make sure it's stationary and away from any near bumps. Overall ThePalmaClanJZS approves!

I have been able to replace with a difference version some of my stories that were lost on the old drive. I even received word one of my stories has been approved for publication.

I like the space but when the Mac goes to sleep it errors out on time machine backups

"AUX Hard Drives - USB 3.0" 1) While transferring massive amounts of data with many directories and files, unit will simply dropout (or go to sleep) and is difficult to wakeup. 2) After being "up" and available to system for a time (even days) it will dropout of availability, and cannot (sometimes) be made available even if the power is removed and reattached. 3) Don't like no power on light to indicate if operational.

I was very pleased and content with my purchase; besides I was able to beat the lines at the store, and I got this item for an excellent price. I would not have a problem recommending this item for purchase to my friends and family.
