    Using this 8 GB drive to back-up large GIS files and it works great so far. However, it is closer to 7 GB than 8 GB.

    Speed of access of these drives has improved immensely. Even previous drives rated as USB3 were not as fast.

    The product itself gets the job done! If you're looking for a hefty backup device with tons of space, this gets the job done. My only complaint is that there is absolutely zero indication lights on the device! It's annoying not being able to know if a transfer is finished or still in progress without having to constantly be checking on the computer!
